What makes a band part of the genre of Christian rock bands? |

Have you ever
listened to Christian rock radio? Many people prefer Christian rock
radio for the Christian rock lyrics, whereas other people simply like
the quality and sound of Christian rock music. Since the 1990's
Christian rock bands have infiltrated the mainstream, such as P.O.D.
This only proves that Christian rock hard.
However, the question of the moment is: Are Christian rock bands dubbed
"Christian rock bands" because of their music or because of their
beliefs? Many Christian rock bands are cross genres which mean that
they're not just Christian rock bands, but also Indie rock bands. After
all, isn't the name Christian rock band a hybrid of both rock and
Christian music?
Many bands have struggled with their identity, either shunning the word
Christian from their many associations. For example, Evanescence is a
mainstream rock band, however due to their strong Christian beliefs,
many have wondered if Evanescence is therefore, a Christian rock band.
However, the band replied that although they are Christian in belief,
they do not consider themselves a Christian rock band. |
